Best Wedding Anniversary Jewelry Gift Ideas
Should you get your special someone wedding anniversary jewelry? After all, it’s common that on your first wedding anniversary, you should receive something made of paper. Leather comes at year three, while tin or aluminum (as in a piece of jewelry) is set for year ten anniversary.
If you scratch the surface, you’ll find that each anniversary corresponds to a precious stone! Gold jewelry is traditionally given at both the first and 50th anniversary, pearl marks year two and 30, while diamond is for a happy year 10 and a happier year 75.
So, when it comes to the perfect anniversary necklace for her, it will definitely bring delight to your darling. And on that note, here are some anniversary jewelry ideas:

Necklaces
How to Make Your Own Necklace?
What better way to spend your time than to explore your creative self? It’s a perfect way to relieve stress, get back in touch with yourself, and make something beautiful in the process! One way to unleash your creativity is to design your own necklace!
Design, materials, tools, and time are the only four things you’ll really need to make your own necklace.
If you think that you have no ideas for a design, that’s okay! Just get as many beads, stones, pendants, charms, and chains as you like and play with them. You may come across a few false starts, but in the end, we promise you’ll surprise yourself. But, let’s start from the beginning – what tools do you need?
Tools for making your own necklace
Before you start, you’ll need to know what kind of tools you’ll need to make a necklace. Depending on the kind of necklace you want to make, the tools you’ll need might vary. However, we’re sure you’ll need at least some (if not all) of these:
- Writing and measuring tools – a pencil, ruler, and some paper go a long way when you’re designing and measuring!
- Pliers – you may be surprised why you’ll need a pair of pliers, but the truth is – they really are the best tool to open, close, and manipulate rings and clasps.
- Wire Cutters – if you’ll be working with metal, you need a way to cut it, and wire cutters are the best tool for the job.
- Jump rings and clasps – you’ll use these to connect, close, and attach all the pieces of your necklace.
Choose the right materials
It goes without saying that you’ll also need all the materials you want your necklace to be made of. Gold or silver chains of various lengths and widths will give you options when testing out what works best, while beads, charms, and other precious stones can be the centerpiece. You can check out some of our pendants or charms if you want style, quality, and timelessness!
Designing your creation
When it comes to any creative work, the idea you have in your head can change the moment you start working on it. This is not a bad thing – on the contrary, it’s most often the best part of being creative! The idea you start with can evolve and change, and bring you to a final product that is beyond your wildest dreams.
If you find yourself drifting away from what you originally planned to do, go with it! We do, however, suggest that you make notes on measurements. Draw what you have in mind and include measurements – this way, you’ll know how much material you’ll need. If you want to take it up a notch and go more professional, you can use some of the 3D modeling tools which will help you “see” the finished product.
There’s a shortcut
If you want to create a necklace, but you don’t have the time to do it, or maybe you’re absolutely in love with your design but it’s too complex for you at this moment, you can always turn to a team of jewelry designers for some extra help.
Many jewelers are more than happy to make their customers’ dreams come true, and we are no different! We can help you bring your design to life. All you need to do is to come to us with an idea, and we’ll make sure you get the highest quality jewelry in return.

Earrings
How to Choose the Perfect Wedding Earrings?
Finding wedding earrings for brides can be tricky. In the happy chaos of wedding planning, they can easily be forgotten about. And yet – they can be the detail that transforms you from ‘beautiful’ to ‘divine.’ Lucky for you, our Miami jewelry store has the perfect piece for everyone.
Bridal earrings – what are they and how do they look like
When choosing earrings for your wedding, the most important thing is that they make you happy. Even if they’re a pair of 200-year-old broken chandelier earrings, feel free to wear them (many jewelers offer repairs, and we’re among them!). Just like your dream dress, the earrings are your choice alone.
The style of earrings perfect for a perfect day will depend on your own style and personality, your hair, face shape, and the cut of your dress.
Earrings for your wedding dress
Here, we’ll give you some tips on how to match your earring with the style and neckline of your dress:
- Low V or low V back neckline pairs perfectly with statement earrings. You want to accentuate the sophisticated V cut, so combine it with longer earrings, such as a long pearl drop, chain thread earrings, and other otherworldly designs.
- An illusion neckline should be left to its own designs – enhance its natural elegance and sophistication with a pair of longer earrings to elongate your neck.
- A high neckline provides you with a number of options. Stud earrings can give you a more classic, elegant look, while a pair of longer earrings will make you appear more delicate. You should carefully note the number of details of your neckline can be a double-edged sword– a lot of detail paired with statement earrings can cause the opposite effect, one of complete overload.
- Gowns featuring a sweetheart neckline are among the most versatile. Go with studs if you want all the attention to go to your headpiece, or go with a pair of longer earrings if you want to emphasize your face. You can pair your earrings with any number of other jewelry pieces, but be careful not to over accessorize!
- Off-the-shoulder gowns naturally draw attention to your face, neck, and shoulders in an elegant, sophisticated fashion. Because the off the shoulder straps are almost jewelry on their own, the most important thing to remember here is not to over accessorize. A pair of long earrings, maybe with some delicate detailing or pearls, can work wonders to make you look even more divine than it already is!
Which metals should you wear?
A pristine white gown pairs well with silver and platinum. Choose gold if your gown is champagne or ivory, and if your dream dress is a delicate blush color, try rose gold. Try to harmonize your jewelry with the style of the dress itself – if there are rhinestones or other decorative precious stones, it’s always a good idea to choose bridal jewelry in the same color group.
Another thing you should consider is your wedding ring. Echo your new found happiness by making your bridal look complete only after you’ve said “I do” and slid the rings on. Matching your earrings to the style and metal of your wedding ring can be a perfect subtle detail to express the harmony and joy you feel with that special someone.
Do you already have an idea for your wedding earrings but can’t find them anywhere? You can get in touch with us and we can make custom jewelry of the highest quality for your big day! In case any of our earrings caught your eye, drop by one of our stores and try them on – we’re happy to help you choose the perfect detail for that perfect day!
Bracelets, Custom Jewelry
5 Different Types of Bracelets
So many bracelets, so little time. It can be hard to decide which one is for you and which one goes perfectly with your own particular sense of style, especially when the sheer amount of types makes your head spin.
Here, we want to introduce you to some of the bracelet styles that are on the market. Explaining exactly what kind of bracelet you want and knowing what to look for will definitely help you find that perfect piece of jewelry for your collection!
How come there are so many different types of bracelets?
There are so many bracelet styles that choosing one can sometimes be overwhelming! We have been wearing them for millennia – even the oldest archeological digs uncover a bracelet or two that point to status, wealth, or even the person’s position in the societal hierarchy of the times. We grew and developed, and so did our bracelets. No wonder we have so many different types you can choose from these days!
Our word for bracelet comes from the old Greek “brachile” which means “of the arm.” Way back, when Greek soldiers wore embellished leather armbands, and as time past by, women started to wear their own versions of it. The first use of the word “bracelet” in English comes in the mid-15th century – “ornamental ring or clasped chain for the wrist.”
Today, there is truly a bracelet for any occasion, so to help you navigate the vast bracelet choice more easily, here are just a few of the many bracelets and their types available on the market:
5 Types of Bracelets
Pearl bracelets
Among the many different styles of bracelets, there’s one that stands out with its elegance and timelessness – pearl bracelet. While this is very similar to a beaded bracelet – pearls are beads – it does merit its own spot on the list.
Pearls can make anything more elegant, even a pair of jeans and a simple tee shirt, and thanks to their natural versatility, you can wear them day or night, no matter the occasion. So, you won’t have to change your jewelry if you’re going to brunch and to a formal event on the same day! A pearl bracelet can fit your style easily.
There are so many different kinds these days – from the color of the pearls themselves, to the way they are connected on the band, in a single or multiple rows, you’re sure to find the one that suits you best!
Charm bracelets
While charm bracelets are often looked down on as infantile, they are anything but. They can actually be a beautiful and elegant way to keep the most important things in your life close to your heart at all times.
Modern charm bracelets are designed with style and sophistication in mind. The materials and the thickness of the band itself are not that important – the key aspect is, of course, the collection of charms.
Choosing your own charms makes your bracelet truly unique. You can stack it with various charms or choose only one, you can make it as bold or as delicate as you please, there are no limits! Because of this kind of versatility, charm bracelets can be added to your look seamlessly.
When each charm represents a person, an event or a place you hold dear to your heart, this kind of bracelet will definitely be the most precious piece of jewelry in your collection.
Tennis bracelets
If you’re looking to invest in a quality piece of jewelry that is both gorgeous and will one day become a proud family heirloom, a tennis bracelet is a way to go! Classy, elegant, and timeless, this type of bracelet can bring about an extra dose of style to any outfit.
Tennis bracelets are, in fact, diamond bracelets – one delicate loop that wraps around your wrist and emphasizes your every move. Usually, this kind of bracelet was made of gold and set with connected diamonds. These days, there are countless variations – thick or thin, platinum or gold rose – it doesn’t really matter. The tennis bracelet is a sure win for any outfit, any occasion, and any kind of lifestyle.
Bangle bracelets
With no clasp, bangle bracelets are easiest to slide on your wrist. They can come in all shapes and sizes. One delicate bangle that you can stack with others, one wide bold bangle, or a bracelet can be worn together to achieve a unique look.
They are made of a wide variety of different materials and in various designs, with or without pendants or other gemstones.
When you ask for bangle bracelets, you will be presented with countless variations of a band with no beginning and no end. These can be thin, stacked gold bands that give you an elegant, delicate look. Or you can choose a bangle bracelet that looks more like a gauntlet.
Perhaps your style is a silver loop with a piercing precious stone in the middle. A bangle style bracelet is perfect if you don’t want to deal with pesky clasps!
Leather bracelets
If you’re not a fan of metal jewelry, leather is a perfect choice. Because the leather used in making bracelets is soft and flexible, you can be sure it’ll feel comfortable on your skin.
A leather bracelet is not a traditional choice, so it can help you stand out. They come in a variety of designs, but the one sure thing about this kind of jewelry is that it can transform your look. Consider this – if you wear a pearl bracelet with a pair of jeans and a white tee, you take on a more elegant look. If you, however, replace that bracelet with a leather one, your look suddenly becomes a bit more wild, a bit more bohemian chic, and just a tad more rebellious.
If your style doesn’t walk on the wild side, don’t be discouraged! A leather bracelet can be just as delicate as a tennis one. While you may not want to wear it for a gala event, a soft coil of leather around your wrist, maybe even with an elegant clasp, will give you that put-together look.
And you don’t have to settle for a boring brown either! Leather bracelets can be dyed black, beige, deep red, or any other color!
So how do I choose a good bracelet style for me?
Choose the one you like – it’s that simple! Whether it’s leather, pearl, charm or bangle, any of these types of bracelets can be adjusted to your style. If you feel like wearing a bangle, you can go for bold or delicate. If you feel a charm bracelet is a good idea, all you need to do is style it the way you want it to be – a simple piece with one charm, or a more bold approach, with charms aplenty!
Now that the bracelet world is not so overwhelming anymore, all you need to do is find the piece you’ll fall in love with. To add some glamour and elegance to your style with that perfect piece of jewelry, you can drop by the nearest jewelry store or browse our online shop if you prefer!
Fun Facts
5 Simple Ways to Identify if Gold is Real
Have you ever wondered how to tell if gold is real? After all, fakes come in all shapes and sizes, and that old heirloom of yours may just be a quality ersatz version of the real thing.
It’s always best to stay on top of things – even when buying jewelry. Gold is a sound investment, so it’s best to make sure it’s the real deal before you commit. The answer to how to tell if something is real gold can come in many forms, but, here are 5 easy ways you can find that out on your own.
How to Tell if Gold is Real?
The Hallmark
What real gold looks like is not only a question of color and heft. Real gold comes stamped with hallmarks that indicate the carat weight of the jewelry.
Each piece must be stamped with a certain number somewhere on the jewelry – the clasp, the inner side of the ring, and suchlike. It will almost always be a number, followed by the letter K. However, if your jewelry comes from Europe, the hallmark stamp will be a decimal number – for example, “.585” which indicates that the gold is 58.5% pure.
If your gold is fairly old, it may not have a hallmark. So, don’t give up on that heirloom just yet!
Liquid foundation test
While this is not the most reliable test there is, it may give you a clue about the realness of your jewelry. Apply some foundation and powder on your forehead, then take the gold jewelry and rub it across the area. If there’s a black mark left behind on your skin, the gold may be fake.
The water and magnets test
Real gold should sink – it’s as simple as that. Drop your piece in a cup of water and if it floats, you have a reason for suspicion. However, if the piece is naturally hollow or very thin it may float even if it’s real gold.
Now, the magnet. If you feel a tug, and your gold piece is attracted to the magnet, it’s likely not real gold. The magnet should be fairly strong, but gold should never be attracted to it.
Use nitric acid
Using nitric acid on a piece of jewelry can harm it irreparably, so use it only if you are absolutely certain you can part with the jewelry. Use gloves and goggles, and do this experiment in a place with proper ventilation during this test. After all, you’ll be dealing with acid.
Make a tiny scratch on the surface of the piece, then apply a small drop of nitric acid to the etched surface. If you see green – it’s not gold. If you see a milky substance – your jewelry is most likely gold over sterling silver.
Still unsure? Find a professional
If these ways of how to tell if jewelry is real gold seems too unreliable to you, it’s always best to consult a specialist. You can find a professional who’ll determine the validity of your jewelry in almost every jewelry store. Each has a special kit (and years of experience) that can confirm or deny that you have real gold on your hands with absolute certainty.
We hope we’ve helped you find out whether your jewelry is real gold or not! If you want additions to your collection, drop by our Coral Gables Jewelry store – we can repair your old favorites, make a custom design for you, or you can simply find a piece you will fall in love with!
Jewelry Cleaning
The Best Way to Clean Gold Jewelry
It’s sad but true – even gold can lose its shine. Years of wear and tear, improper storage, moisture, humidity, deodorants, and hairspray – these are all factors that lead to your favorite gold jewelry becoming a bit duller, a bit blacker, a bit more tarnished. Luckily, you’ll never reach the point of no return!
How to clean gold jewelry is a simple enough question to answer. Regular cleaning will keep your jewelry brilliant and beautiful, and you won’t have to take it all the way to the jewelers – you can do it on your own! Here’s how.
4 ways to clean your gold jewelry
1. Use a jewelry cleaner
Many professionals use something called “an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner.” Lately, it’s become available to everyone! An ultrasonic cleaner means that your jewelry will be cleaned by water or a cleaning solution and tens of thousands of ultrasonic energy waves per second.
When using this type of a cleaner, make sure to follow the instructions carefully to get the best results. The cleaning will usually last anywhere from 2 to 10 minutes; you should heat the water or cleaning solvent, and the load you put in the cleaner should be somewhere less than the weight of half the volume of the water you’re using.
2. Water and detergent
While a gold jewelry cleaner may give you the best results with the minimum amount of effort, why not go the extra mile and do it all on your own!
A simple way to maintain the beauty of your gold jewelry is to mix some dishwashing liquid in a bowl of warm (never hot!) water, soak your gold jewelry in it for 10 to 15 minutes, then use a toothbrush to wipe the dullness off in a light, delicate, and gentle motions. Rinse in warm water, and dry it off with a clean, soft cloth.
3. Use a drop of ammonia
Another way of cleaning gold jewelry at home is to use water and just a drop of ammonia. Be careful! Ammonia is strong and can be abrasive – use it rarely and only for deep cleaning – never use it if your gold piece has delicate gemstones, pearls, and platinum.
You need only a half of tablespoon of ammonia in a bowl. Then, add a half a glass of water, and mix properly. Soak your gold in the mixture for no more than a minute! Then remove with tongs or strainers. To rinse off your gold jewelry, hold it under running water and make sure to be thorough. Finally, dry your gold jewelry with a soft cloth.
4. Use vinegar
Vinegar – the almighty all-purpose cleaner – can be used if you want to add some light and brightness to your jewelry. All you need to do is pour some white vinegar in a bowl, soak your gold jewelry so that it’s completely under the vinegar for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Dry your gold jewelry by patting a clean soft cloth against it.
What to avoid when cleaning gold jewelry
Remember, gold is a soft metal! Any time you brush your jewelry or even dry it, be very gentle.
You also need to keep in mind that certain substances should always be avoided. You should avoid soap, especially the ones with unknown ingredients. When showering or washing the dishes, remove your gold jewelry to minimize chances of tarnish.
Chlorine should also always be avoided. When at a high temperature, chlorine with permanently discolor or even damage your gold jewelry, so always remove it before enjoying a hot tub.
We hope we’ve helped you keep your gold looking as brilliant as the day you got it! If you’re looking for a new piece, or you want to repair a favorite, or even get a custom design made, drop by one of our stores – we’ll be happy to help!

How to Match Jewelry with a Dress?
You’ve got that perfect dress, but now you’ve fallen into new trouble – how to accessorize it? Fortunately, you don’t need to worry! Here’s a short, handy guide to help you enhance your look no matter the style of your dress.
Jewelry for a black dress
A little black dress is usually a staple in everyone’s wardrobe. Mixed and matched with the proper accessories, it can give you a stylish, elegant look no matter the time of day or the occasion!
When it comes to jewelry, a perfect piece for a black dress depends on the cut and the statement you want to make.
For example, if you’re going out to brunch, pairing the dress with a shell necklace or dangling earrings can give you a casual, bohemian look. If you want a more formal style, a delicate pendant necklace or a minimalistic ring can give you a sophisticated look.
Pairing a red dress with jewelry
Yellow gold is a traditional choice when pairing jewelry with a red dress. Choose the style of your yellow gold jewelry to match the occasion and the cut of your dress.
If you want to go bolder, pair your red dress with white gold or sterling silver. You’ll get a high-contrast, fashionable look.
There’s no need to shy away from precious stones either! Choose the stone you want to wear depending on the shade of red of your dress. If you’re unsure about the match – well, diamonds can give you an elegant, sophisticated look no matter the color of your outfit!
Jewelry for a strapless dress
Strapless dresses are made to highlight your neck, collarbone, and the upper part of your body. When choosing jewelry, it’s best to pick one focus piece. Your goal here should be to keep the focus up and on your face – a pair of earrings is the best way to do. And remember, the bolder the better!
Jewelry for a high neck dress
A high collar can be a statement itself, so what works best is if you accentuate other parts of your body. You can style this type of dress with a pair of delicate earrings, some bracelets, or even hair accessories!
Jewelry for a one shoulder dress
The asymmetric cut of the one shoulder dress can be tricky to style! What’s most important here is not to take any attention away from the style of the dress, and let the necklace complement it. To accentuate the style of the dress, you should accessorize the side of your body opposite the shoulder strap. A bold, statement cuff bracelet is a perfect choice.
Jewelry for a V neck dress
If the V neckline of your dress is deep, you could try wearing a choker paired with a pair of simple earrings. Another, more interesting option is a long pendant or a lariat necklace. If you really want to wow with your outfit, your best choice is to layer your necklaces.
Jewelry for a halter dress
When styling a halter dress, you should avoid wearing too much jewelry. Instead, pick bracelets! A bold one, a delicate one, or a stack of them, the choice is yours!
Are you ready to accessorize? Now that you’ve got this handy guide, you can look polished, elegant, and sophisticated no matter which dress you choose to wear! If you’re looking for that perfect piece of jewelry, visit our jewelry stores in Miami, FL.

Mixing Silver and Gold Jewelry: How to Do it Right?
Like any old adage in the fashion world, the rule to never mix your metals when wearing jewelry is gone. Finally, mixing gold and silver is no longer a taboo!
Wearing gold and silver together can give you a fresh, new look, enhance your style and natural beauty, and even give a spring to your step. When mixed, gold and silver can match your outfit, mood, and personality.
Mixing Silver and Gold Jewelry
Can you make a mistake when combining different metals? No, not really – after all, fashion is not what’s in, but how you wear it. Even the most shocking trends (just remember that it was a sin for women to wear pants) had to start with one confident woman. So, when combining gold and silver, your best guide is your own taste and sense of style. If, however, you still feel insecure about it, we can give you some tips and tricks.
Tips for Properly Mixing Silver and Gold Jewelry
Focus on one spot
While you can wear bracelets, necklaces, and rings all at once, what works best is having a focus area. This can be your neck, wrists, hands, or ears.
To avoid wearing too much jewelry, pick an area you want to focus on, and let that be the spot where you’ll combine silver and gold jewelry.
If you want to accentuate your neck, for example, you can choose a gold necklace, and layer some silver necklaces over it. On the other areas, choose jewelry pieces that won’t take the attention away from your focus – this means small, delicate jewelry.
The perfect bridging piece
To combine silver and gold well, you should always have a bridging piece of jewelry – this means there should be one piece that stands out, so you can build around it.
For example, if you want to show off an antique gold ring, you can wear it on your index finger and wear smaller, simpler rings on your other fingers. This way the gold ring is the focus, while the other rings serve as a backdrop that only makes it stand out more.
Your bridging piece can be the most exotic, or most unusual piece in your collection. That one silver necklace you love but you believe never pairs well with any of your outfits can be combined with several gold chains and voila – a new look that suddenly perfectly matches your style!
Precious stones are always a good choice
The centerpiece of your gold and silver jewelry combination can be a precious stone. Topaz, sapphire, emerald, and amethyst can pair perfectly with the silver-gold combination.
Choose your perfect stone and try to build around that. If, for example, you have a necklace with a blue sapphire pendant, you can layer delicate gold and silver necklaces around it so that, in the end, it shimmers and shines like the night sky – and the sapphire as the brightest star!
Go simple… or go bold
There are simply no limits to what you can do when mixing gold and silver, so don’t be afraid to experiment! The way you combine your jewelry can vary from casual and simple to bold and unique.
A look for the office can be your silver watch flanked by thin gold bangles – this sounds simple, but it gives you a sophisticated, elegant look, even if you’re wearing a pair of jeans and a simple t-shirt. A bolder look can be combining your showstopper ring with a dozen of smaller, delicate bands.
All you really need to successfully wear a mix of gold and silver is one thing – confidence! Feel free to experiment, and don’t be afraid to have fun. If you’re on the lookout for a perfect piece of jewelry, drop by our gold jewelry store – we promise you’ll find it!
Necklaces
Stacking and Layering Necklaces Tips
You may have heard of stacking necklaces. You may have even seen the trend: a multitude of necklaces expertly wrapped around the neck, their chains looped and shimmering, dripping down the body in a such a way that you can’t help but think about the divine elegance of Hollywood famous goddesses and divas.
This style choice brings a whole new dimension to your outfit and overall look. And don’t worry – you don’t need any kind of spell or special talent to pull it off! All you need is some layering necklaces tips and tricks.
To avoid tangling – layer your chains properly
While stacking rings or bracelets is a piece of cake, layering necklaces comes with one big problem – they tangle. The chains tangling can lead to knots, annoyance, disappointment, and even cause damage to your jewelry.
To avoid tangling, make sure you put your necklaces in a certain order – and that’s not by their length! Start with the thinnest chains, and then layer the thicker chains over them. If you put a thinner chain over a thicker one, chances are they will end up tangled.
Make a statement
Elegant or boho, chic or adorably messy – there are so many styles and statements you can make by stacking necklaces, so many that it’s important to decide what you’re going for before putting your necklaces on.
An example of an edgy look is a choker paired with a link chain necklace, while a great example of a more classy look is the combination of a gem necklace paired with a choker. The choice is yours!
Don’t be afraid to tighten your necklaces
A multitude of chokers can look gorgeous, so don’t worry about having to get longer pieces just so you could master the layering trend! Tightly wrapped necklaces are particularly great for stacking because there’s less chance of a tangle.
Use different lengths
To achieve a jaw-dropping look with your jewelry, make sure you use necklaces of different lengths. Pick a long necklace you want to accentuate and add shorter ones to complement it. Another good tip is to start with a chocker – adding longer necklaces will result in a chic and polished look while also preventing tangles!
Play with weight
When it comes to layering and stacking, you can achieve the perfect balance by mixing not only the length of your chains but also their weight. To do this, choose weightier necklaces to include in your look – these can be ones with a chunky chain, pendants, or stones.
When worn, your necklaces should be 1 to 2 fingers apart. The weightier necklaces will lay flat and be apart from the lighter ones. If you choose chains without pendants, make sure your necklaces vary in thickness.
Materials are there to be mixed
The old fashion rule to never mix different materials is long gone and already forgotten. You’ll achieve that head-turning look with your stylishness if you do mix materials when stacking and layering your jewelry!
Pearls and chains, metal and leather, velvet and silver – stacking necklaces of various materials together will add depth and dimension to your style. When mixing materials, make sure one necklace doesn’t dominate another. What matters is that they look harmonious when layered together.
However, the most important rule when stacking and layering necklaces is to have fun while doing it! Stacking and layering is a great trend that invites you to look at your jewelry collection from a new perspective and figure out new ways of wearing it.
Maybe you have an old, long beaded necklace you haven’t worn for years – well, this is a great chance to dust it off and pair it with two of your favorite new necklaces! And if you notice you’re missing that crucial piece, we at Santayana can offer you unique jewelry pieces, and even custom designed – drop by one of our Miami jewelry stores and make your pick!

What Jewelry Goes Good With Your Skin Tone?
Skin tone is not the first thing that comes to a person’s mind when choosing what jewelry to wear. However, if you take it into account, it can really make you look more elegant, luxurious and polished. Jewelry is, after all, worn against the skin, so why not make a choice that compliments your skin tone?
This begs the question – will silver or gold jewelry make your skin tone shine? Or will rose gold match your skin tone and make it look divine? The first step to answering them is, of course, determining your skin tone.
What’s Your Skin Tone?
Determining your skin tone might sound tricky, but it’s actually fairly simple. The only thing you’ll need to determine your skin tone is natural lighting.
Your skin tone will fall in one of two categories – cool or warm. To find out on which end of the spectrum your skin tone is, look at the inside of your arm in natural light. If your veins appear bluish, your skin tone is cool. If they appear greenish, you have a warm skin tone.
People with cool skin tones will often notice pinkish or rosy-red undertones when looking in the mirror, while people with warm skin tone will notice a yellow or apricot undertone.
Warm Skin Tones Look Best With…
If you’ve ever wondered ‘rose gold vs yellow gold for my skin tone,’ no need to twine your fingers in despair – if your skin tone is of the warm variety, both of those metals suit you! Metals that will compliment your skin and enhance its natural, fresh look are rose gold, yellow gold, copper, and brass.
When choosing gems, the ones that will look particularly good on you are Ruby, Garnet, Morganite, Citrine, Mandarin Garnet, Alexandrite, and Peridot. Choose warmer colors and shades, such as pinks, reds, oranges, yellows, and golds.
Cool Skin Tones Look Best With…
If you find your veins looking bluish, jewelry that will suit your skin best is something made of light metals like white gold, platinum, and silver.
As for precious stones, your skin will shine if you accentuate it with Amethyst, Ruby, Emerald, Opal, Blue Sapphire, Aquamarine, Zircon, Tanzanite, Turquoise, Jade, or Paraiba Tourmaline. A string of pearls can also be a divine match to your skin tone. Choose colors from the blue/green side of the spectrum wheel.
