3. Wire Cutters – if you’ll be working with metal, you need a way to cut it, and wire cutters are the best tool for the job.
4. Jump rings and clasps – you’ll use these to connect, close, and attach all the pieces of your necklace.

Choose the right materials

It goes without saying that you’ll also need all the materials you want your necklace to be made of. Gold or silver chains of various lengths and widths will give you options when testing out what works best, while beads, charms, and other precious stones can be the centerpiece.
